MARINA is a Certified Trainer and Billboard Charting Award Winning composer & vocalist who has lost 100 pounds while writing over 400 songs for the Health & Fitness community. Her voice has been heard on numerous commercials including Verizon, Poptarts, Exxon Mobile, Equinox and Tourneau. She has worked with a multitude of celebrity talent including Liza Minnelli, James Earl Jones, Patti LaBelle, and Carnie Wilson. Marina has also choreographed for companies including Columbia Records, BMG Records, and The Naras Foundation.

Laura Grande has been involved in the fitness world since childhood. She became a certified Mmaxout Instructor and Mmaxout Kickin Pink Instructor in order to change lives and motivate others to become fit and live a healthy lifestyle. She has helped many realize their fitness goals through her passion for fitness and high-energy, intense workout routines.

Smart Bells® are ideal for everyone regardless of age, size or fitness levels. because they are fun to use, relatively light in weight; promote flexibility, range of motion, strength, vitality and zest for life! Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Smart Bells® will be provided for workshop use.

Ujjala is a Master SmartBells Instructor with many years of experience. She has been an instructor at every east coast SmartBells Instructor Training Program and calls SmartBells, "A key that unlocks intuitive movement in the body." She views SmartBells as an artistic tool for anyone that can also be used to promote healing. 

Body Flow

BODYFLOW„¢ is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

Carrine has been teaching group fitness at the MAC for approximately 2 years. She is currently certified in Les Mills BODYFLOW, which is a Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates based workout that builds flexibility and strength; Les Mills CXWORX, which is a short and sharp workout that targets the torso and sling muscles that connect your upper body to your lower body, improving improving functional strength and assisting in injury prevention. Carrine has completed training for Les Mills BODYCOMBAT which is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai and is a cardio based workout. 

Kathy has been a group fitness instructor at MAC Fitness for over 4 years. Her initial endeavor into instructing began by becoming a certified Les Mills BODYCOMAT instructor. BODYCOMBAT is a mixed martial arts program in which participants can burn up to 800 calories in one class. Her second Les Mills certification is in BODYFLOW, a program she has been instructing for over 3 years. BODYFLOW allows participants to experience a Yoga based program, choreographed to music, which focuses on flexibility, strength, and balance. Additionally, she has recently become certified in the newest Les Mills program SH€™BAM. A cardio dance party intending to motivate participants through its music and wide range of dance styles.  

Zumba

Move to the rhythms of salsa, merengue, samba, flamenco and more! Zumba is an exciting and effective exercise program that is good for the mind, body, and soul!  

Lisa has been involved in high energy sports her entire life. She was a self-taught gymnast and diver as a child and has always had a love for dance. In 2007, Lisa studied and trained in Movement Science - the Pilates method. In 2008, Zumba found Lisa and she was licensed and ready to teach by 2009. Her high energy, love of dance, and Pilates training make for a great Zumba encounter that is fun, safe, and contagious . Zumba classes are changing lives everywhere €“ come and live the experience!

Sat Tara Kaur, Ph.D. began studying Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness, in 1978 while earning her M.A. from the Divinity School of The University of Chicago. Author of many articles and several books, including Conversations with Experience, Sat Tara earned her Ph.D. in Communications with specializations in cultural studies, mass media, and feminist theory from the University of Iowa. In 2005, she took Self Mastery Teacher Training at Yogi Bhajan's headquarters in New Mexico and was given her spiritual name which translates as Priestess of Truth. She has studied with Dr. Dharma Singh Khalsa, M.D., author of Meditation as Medicine and with Hari Kaur Khalsa, author of A Woman's Book of Yoga. Like Ralph Waldo Emerson, Sat Tara is "an aid and friend to those who would live in the spirit." An ordained minister, Sat Tara presides at Ceremonies for Life's Meaning Moments from Birth to Final Breath. What stays the same are all the elements the Zumba Fitness-Party is known for: the zesty Latin music, salsa, merengue, cumbia and reggaeton; the exhilarating, easy-to-follow moves; and the invigorating, party-like atmosphere.

Celeste Graves-Hoyal is a Fitness Professional with a strong focus on the Movement Arts of Dance, T'ai Chi, and Yoga. With a masters degree in Dance Therapy from New York University, Celeste runs her movement classes with a therapeutic awareness that enriches the natural health benefits already inherent in movement and dance. She is very excited with the beneficial results she is seeing in her ZUMBA GOLD participants - at the YMCA in Kingston and in other venues throughout Ulster and Green Counties.
