Dance With Me: 9am-10am

Dance with Me is a total body, high energy, cardio dance workout that is infused with all styles of dance including Hip Hop, Bollywood, Ballroom, Disco, African, Irish,& so much more! Dance with Me is created by Billy Blanks Jr. and Sharon Catherine Blanks and is a Mark Cuban Company.

Although Stephannie Costello is a new group fitness instructor, she is not new to the fitness  “scene” or to teaching. Stephannie has been a chemistry teacher in the New Paltz School District in New Paltz, N.Y. for 24 years and has been taking aerobic dance classes since the days of Jane Fonda and leg warmers. She is very excited about Dance with Me (DWM) classes because they combine several styles of dance into a high-energy fun filled hour of cardiovascular training. African, Disco, Latin, Country and Bollywood are a few of the dance genre include in her DWM classes. Stephannie’s classes are designed to motivate people of all ages, fitness levels and dance “abilities”. Stephannie loves teaching at the YMCA in Kingston because she gets to work with a very diverse population. Her student at the YMCA range in age from 7 to 70 but the DWM class bridges the generation gap and brings everyone together.

SmartBells 10am-11am

Experience a whole new way to exercise integrating Stretching, Yoga, Tai Chi, Aerobics, Group and Pair workout into one short time frame with the goals of building the mind/body connection, moving the Chi energy and creating muscular endurance. It is the key that unlocks intuitive movement in the body. Smart Bells are sculptural weights that both conform to the body and remain balanced in the circular movements of the Smart Bells® Routines. Smart Bells® are ideal for everyone regardless of age, size or fitness levels. because they are fun to use, relatively light in weight; promote flexibility, range of motion, strength, vitality and zest for life! Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Smart Bells will be provided for workshop use.

Ujjala is a Master SmartBells Instructor with many years of experience. She has been an instructor at every east coast SmartBells Instructor Training Program and calls SmartBells, "A key that unlocks intuitive movement in the body." She views SmartBells as an artistic tool for anyone that can also be used to promote healing.

Boot Camp: 11am - 11:30am

This Boot Camp is a full-body workout designed for individuals who like to be challenged. It is something new, something different, with lots of functional movements designed to improve your endurance and strength while burning calories and accelerating weight loss.

Mike is a nationally Certified Personal Trainer who has taught over 500 boot camp classes and has trained over 100 private clients how to improve their health and achieve a higher level of fitness. Mike designs strength building and cardio programs that yield maximum results in a minimum amount of time.

P90X: 11:30-12:00

P90X is a fast paced resistance training workout with cardio and plyometric elements combined to create change and dramatically increase your fitness level.

Justin holds a black belt in Okinawan martial arts and is a nationally certified NCSA personal trainer and a certified P90X instructor. Justin also teaches sports performance classes with the Parisi Speed School program in Kingston, serving ages 7 and up.

Dance Xross Fitness: 1pm-2pm

DXF (DANCE XROSS FITNESS™) incorporates four disciplines of movement – dance, kickboxing, toning and soul line dancing into a cardio fun interval training workout. With the music from old school R&B, Motown, African, Latin, to new school Pop and Soca, it's designed to strengthen mind as well as body. The reception he has received in his weekly classes at CCE, Mountainview Studio in Woodstock, the Kingston YMCA, and the JCC (Jewish Community Center) in Manhattan- have shown that this FUN dance movement will be a success.

Drew's mission is to inspire a lifestyle of wellness from the inside out-one movement one person at a time. He grew up as part of the Disco/Hip Hop movement that formed in the clubs and streets of New York City. He has taught and had formalized dance training with the Debbie Allen Dance Acadamy in Culver City, California. Drew has received his degree in Human Services at MCNY, formally known as Audrey Cohen College and Empire state University.

Drew moved to Kingston in 2002 and has become a well-known and respected community leader through his work with youth and adults. As the Artistic Wellness Director at the Center for Creative Education in Kingston, Drew has been able to introduce dance, exercise and wellness to the Kingston Community. Inspired by Michelle Obama, Drew started a "Let's Move Ulster County" initiative in 2011 and 2012. He collaborated with the Ulster County Dept of Health, Ulster County Executive Office, the Mayor's office and the Kingston schools along with Ulster County schools. 800 + people showed their support at Deitz stadium to recognize and combat the epidemic of childhood obesity. Throughtout 2012 he held " Let's Move" events in Kingston, Ellenville, Bellayre Mountain, Phoenicia, and Saugerties. In 2003 Drew created the Award winning Energy Dance Company, they have performed throughout US. In 2010 and 2012 Energy was asked to tour Germany with International Youth Music Festival in Bad Arolsen, Germany.

Drew's passion and purpose for dance, fitness and the well being of youth and adults is evident in the way he encourages discipline and motivation for a healthy lifestyle. He synergizes smart and safe exercises, optimal nutrition, strong mental health and mastery of the human body to create an effective regimen for himself and those who work with him.


Chelsea Streifeneder
Pilates Mat: 2pm - 3pm

Classical and Progressive Pilates Mat with added props to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and posture by incorporating floor based Pilates movements that stimulate the deep “core” muscles of your hips, abdomen, low back and spine. Focuses on breath and improves mental clarity. Pilates can be modified for everyone and anyone!

Chelsea is the owner of Body Be Well Pilates in Red Hook and Catskill NY, which is located in the beautiful Hudson Valley. She received her Bachelor degree in writing and dance in 2006 from Bard College. After many years of dancing she started suffering from back and hip problems. It wasn’t until later that she was introduced to Pilates while dancing in Prague and was instantly hooked! After graduating from Bard College she moved out to Los Angeles where she completed her Pilates Teacher Training Program through the Pilates Sports Center. Chelsea is a Pilates Method Alliance® Certified Pilates Teacher and a Master Trainer for Pilates Sports Center Teacher Training Program.

Chelsea has worked with many athletes, dancers, and celebrities, as well as those young, old, injured and healthy. She is thrilled to be able to bring her teaching to the clients of Body Be Well Pilates. Chelsea’s approach to teaching is practical, hands on, extremely detailed, incredibly hearted, and accompanied with a bit of humor to keep it light! Chelsea is passionate about sharing Pilates and strives to teach concepts as opposed to just teaching exercises. She inspires her clients to take what they learn in their sessions and apply it to their every day lives.

Chelsea believes that everyone should be doing Pilates! At the end of the day she hopes that many more people have found that Body Be Well Pilates is a genuinely safe place to pursue their health and wellness. Witnessing first hand how Pilates changed her own life, Chelsea is excited to help others enhance their health and achieve their fitness goals so they can live life to the fullest!

Colleen KetchumBeyondBarre: 3pm-4pm

BeyondBarre is NOT your daughter's ballet class! It is a true cardio ballet barre workout. The BeyondBarre fitness program is unlike any other on the market today thanks to its unique BeyondBarre Glide Board, cardio infusion, and limitless class variations. Each body-sculpting, fat-burning, endurance-building class incorporates barre exercises to gain muscle control, increase flexibility, and develop long, lean muscles.

Each exercise sequence is thoughtfully and purposefully placed in an order to optimize the ability to burn fat, sculpt the body, and build long, lean muscles. At BeyondBarre we took ballet barre leg sculpting exercises and amplified them and then incorporated the BeyondBarre Glide Board skating intervals to build the lateral side-to-side muscles and raise the heart rate. By building these lateral muscles, balance and agility are enhanced.

In addition to improving stability, the BeyondBarre Glide Board provides an amazing cardio workout. Our program is specifically designed to strengthen the muscles by working to fatigue and then stretching to lengthen and sculpt. The BeyondBarre Glide Board skating actions amp up the cardio while ballet barre exercises, balls and bands stabilize and strengthen. Funky music mixes make the jam-packed body sculpting workouts energizing and fun!

Colleen Ketchum, is the creator of the hot, new fitness form BeyondBarre. In her down time she is a stuntwoman, mother of three young boys and owner of Pilates In Motion of Warwick, NY. Colleen's understanding of the human body - she holds a BS in Biology - experience as a competitive gymnast, and love of athletic training drew her to Pilates and, ultimately, to creating the BeyondBarre workout.
